“#Shawn Mendes bares it all in new Netflix documentary, ‘In Wonder’<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

\n With the cameras rolling, Shawn Mendes is exposing who he really is in his new Netflix documentary, \u201cIn Wonder.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a trailer released Tuesday<\/a>, the Canadian singer, 22, strip<\/a>s down and soaps up in the shower as he reveals how he started out as a performer.<\/p>\n

\u201cIs it hard to protect that pure thing that started it all?\u201d a voice off-camera asks, as Mendes sullenly nods.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou first get on the stage and ego comes rushing in,\u201d he explains. \u201cI\u2019m just a guy and I love music. Time to surrender.\u201d<\/p>\n

The documentary, which is slated to be released Nov. 23 on the streaming platform, follows Mendes on his most recent tour, as he traveled to North and South America, Europe, Asia and Australia. The TIFF special event selection also features footage from his early life as he sheds light on his personal \u201cjourney toward self-discovery.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis isn\u2019t a story about a famous musician,\u201d he says. \u201cThis is a story about a guy growing up.\u201d<\/p>\n

The trailer\u2019s release comes on the heels of the release of \u201cWonder,\u201d the title track off Mendes\u2019 forthcoming album, set to be released through Island Records on Dec. 4.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wonder what it\u2019s like if I tell the world that I\u2019m just a normal human,\u201d he asks, as footage of his skyrocket to fame shows, along with cameos from fellow mega-star girlfriend Camila Cabello. \u201cAre they gonna stop, like, coming to the shows?\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n
