\n Cody Bellinger\u2019s days of locking arms with a teammate to celebrate a home run are likely over.<\/p>\n

When Bellinger homered in the fourth inning of Game<\/a> 1 in the Dodgers-Rays World Series<\/a> Tuesday night at Globe Life Field, he used a toe-tap with teammates. On Sunday, in Game 7 of the NLCS against the Braves, the Dodgers\u2019 center fielder suffered a dislocated right shoulder celebrating homer with Kik\u00e9 Hernandez.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll continue to do that,\u2019\u2019 Bellinger said of the toe-tap. \u201cMaybe my whole career, who knows. I said I am not touching anybody\u2019s arm, going straight to the foot. It was pretty funny.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said he didn\u2019t plan to speak to his hitters prior to Tuesday night\u2019s 8-3 win World Series Game 1 to remind them to curb their enthusiasm during home run celebrations.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wish I had that talk before he did that forearm bump with Kik\u00e9, but I think after seeing that I think it is pretty well noted,\u2019\u2019 Roberts said prior to Game 1.<\/p>\n

The left-handed hitting Bellinger remained in Sunday\u2019s game even though he told right fielder Mookie Betts his shoulder, which has been dislocated before, had popped out of joint.<\/p>\n

He tested his shoulder in the seventh inning Tuesday night when he crashed into the fence chasing Joey Wendle\u2019s double that glanced off his glove before he hit the wall as the Rays scored twice and cut the Dodgers\u2019 lead to 8-3. He made a sensational catch at the wall in the ninth.<\/p>\n

\u201c[Monday] he came in for treatment, was a little bit sore, felt better than he thought he would,\u2019\u2019 Roberts said. \u201c[Tuesday] he is in there. He will have it taped up and there might be a brace. Said he felt good so he is ready to go.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n\n

Unless Rays center field Kevin Kiermaier told Kevin Cash his hand wouldn\u2019t allow him to play in Game 1 the Rays\u2019 manager wasn\u2019t going to search Globe Life Field looking for him.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe looked fine, so fine I haven\u2019t heard a word about it,\u2019\u2019 Cash said of Kiermaier\u2019s workout on Monday. \u201cSo I am not going to ask him, that is for sure. We need him out there and he wants to be out there really badly just like he did in Game 7. I think with the off days and treatment he is in a good spot.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n

Kiermaier homered off Clayton Kershaw in the fifth and had an RBI single in the seventh.<\/p>\n

Kiermaier was hit by a pitch on the left hand in Game 3 of the ALCS against the Astros, was removed from the game and wasn\u2019t in the starting lineup for the remainder of that series.<\/p>\n\n

Hunter Renfroe was 3-for-22 (.136) against Kershaw, the Dodger\u2019s Game 1 starter but Kevin Cash started him despite the poor numbers and batted him fourth.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe all know it didn\u2019t go the way we would like but he has picked us up with some big hits, certainly did it against Toronto. He is a guy if he can get some barrel to it he can do some damage,\u2019\u2019 Cash said of Renfroe, who came to the plate in the first inning with two runners on and one out and struck out. He went 0-for-2 before being replaced by Austin Meadows.<\/p>\n\n

The Rays are starting Blake Snell in Game 2 on Wednesday and Roberts tabbed right-hander Tony Gonsolin after the Game 1 victory.<\/p>\n

One of the names that was considered was lefty Julio Urias who blanked the Braves in the final three innings of Game 7 in the NLCS on Sunday.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
