And boy, does it look epic. The short trailer shows the titular lone warrior, voiced by\u00a0<strong>Kelly Marie Tran<\/strong>, as she embarks on her quest to save the realm of\u00a0Kumandra by searching for \u2014 you guessed it \u2014 the last dragon. Watch the\u00a0<em>Raya and the Last Dragon<\/em> trailer below.<span id=\"more-642225\"><\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Raya_and_the_Last_Dragon_Trailer\"><\/span>Raya and the Last Dragon Trailer<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Raya and the Last Dragon | Official Teaser Trailer\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/9BPMTr-NS9s?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy whole life I trained to become a guardian of the dragon gem. But this world has changed and it\u2019s people are divided. Now, to restore peace, I must find\u2026the last dragon,\u201d Tran\u2019s Raya narrates in the intense trailer for\u00a0<em>Raya and the Last Dragon<\/em>, which opens with an\u00a0<em>Indiana Jones<\/em>-style sequence of the warrior princess breaking into a vault with the help of her \u201cfuzzy bear meets an insect version of an armadillo\u201d sidekick Tuk Tuk. There she encounters another warrior wearing a\u00a0<em>Nuo-<\/em>style dragon mask (which also looks eerily like the Blue Spirit from\u00a0<em>Avatar: The Last Airbender<\/em>) and im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>tely jumps to battle him in a very cool-looking fight sequence. But this is just the beginning of Raya\u2019s quest, as we see the warrior many years later with a now giant Tuk Tuk, trekking through some sandy dunes.<br \/>\n<!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post -->The trailer (and the poster before it) wisely calls back to Disney\u2019s other animated hit about a female warrior,\u00a0<em>Mulan<\/em>, especially in the opening sequence in which Raya suits up with armor and weapons. But it also seems like\u00a0the\u00a0<em>Raya and the Last Dragon<\/em> team took a few cues from\u00a0<em>Avatar: The Last Airbender\u00a0<\/em>\u2014 not just in the warrior\u2019s mask, but in Raya\u2019s character design and the adorable hybrid animals. This may just be coincidence, as\u00a0<em>Avatar: The Last Airbender<\/em> was a fantasy epic similarly inspired by Asian and Southeast Asian-inspired culture, but it probably scratches a nostalgic itch for much of the target audience in a way that bodes well for\u00a0<em>Raya and the Last Dragon<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Here is the synopsis for\u00a0<em>Raya and the Last Dragon<\/em>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Long ago, in the fantasy world of Kumandra, humans and dragons lived together in harmony. But when\u00a0an evil force\u00a0threatened the land, the dragons sacrificed themselves to save humanity.
