\n Mayor Bill de Blasio\u2019s thin skin shows in many ways, but especially in his resentment of the press.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s complained that \u201ca lot of the media<\/a> in this town spends a disproportionate time on all sorts of other things that are not the things affecting people\u2019s lives.\u201d That is, the things he sees as important.<\/p>\n

He has slammed the Daily News<\/a> (\u201ccorporate media\u201d) as well as The New York Times (\u201ceffed up\u201d for declining to publish his op-eds), but it\u2019s plainly The Post (a \u201cright-wing rag\u201d) that bugs him most.<\/p>\n

He has singled out our reporters for ostracism (\u201cI\u2019m calling on real media outlets\u201d) and even told security to remove one for pushing a question.<\/p>\n

His attitude has turned particularly sour during the lockdowns: He\u2019s been holding regular digital press conferences \u2014 while battling with pretty much the entire media corps over how it\u2019s run. It took a united front from reporters to allow any follow-ups, for example.<\/p>\n

And he\u2019s been flagrantly freezing out Post reporters on days when our coverage most peeves him:<\/p>\n
