\n A young girl and two others were seriously hurt when a commercial tree trimming truck hit a school bus in upstate Orange County Wednesday morning, authorities said.<\/p>\n

The girl, who was sitting behind the bus driver, is hospitalized in critical but stable condition after the 8:20 a.m. crash in the Town of New Windsor, local police said in a statement<\/a>. Her name and age were not immedia<\/a>tely released.<\/p>\n

The bus driver and the truck driver are both hospitalized in critical condition.<\/p>\n

The crash happ<\/a>ened on Route 207 when the truck, heading west, crossed over the double yellow line and struck the Washingtonville School District bus that was heading east, cops said.<\/p>\n

Fire and rescue units from four separate departments responded and extricated the three most serious victims, authorities said.<\/p>\n

Seven students walked off the bus and were brought to the hospital to be seen by medical professionals. They have since been treated and released.<\/p>\n

The district confirmed to PIX 11<\/a> that the bus was from Little Britain Elementary school.<\/p>\n

Orange County Executive Steven Neuhaus told the station that the scene was \u201chorrific\u201d and described the crash as \u201cprobably the worst I\u2019ve seen.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re hopeful that everyone is going to make a full recovery,\u201d Neuhaus said.<\/p>\n

The accident remains under investigation, authorities said.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
