\n Joe Biden\u2019s campaign has scrapp<\/a>ed a political ad featuring a Michigan music venue owner who depicted himself as a cash-strapped business owner \u2014 yet was revealed as a wealthy tech investor.<\/p>\n

The ad was removed from Biden\u2019s campaign YouTube<\/a> channel after reports outing the financial status of Joe Malcoun, owner of an Ann Arbor bar and music venue, the Blind Pig.<\/p>\n

In the ad, Malcoun complained about his venue\u2019s pandemic struggles, laying the blame on President Trump\u2019s coronavirus response.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe don\u2019t know how much longer we can survive not having any revenue,\u201d he lamented in the ad. \u201cThis is the reality of Trump\u2019s COVID response \u2026 This is Donald Trump\u2019s economy,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy only hope for my family and this business and my community is that Joe Biden wins this election,\u201d he claimed, saying it \u201cmakes me so angry.\u201d<\/p>\n

Malcoun, however, is reportedly<\/a> well-known in his community as a wealthy angel investor in tech companies who acquired his fortune from a huge inheritance from his wife\u2019s grandfather.<\/p>\n

He also blamed Trump for the lockdowns, but, according to MLive<\/a>, had actually willingly closed the Blind Pig in June despite being allowed to stay open.\n <\/div>\n
