We will closely scrutinize the company to ensure passengers safety is not compromised.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The ride-hailing firm, which launched in the capital in February, has already indicated it will appeal within the 21-day limit and therefore can operate in the meantime, according to the<span>\u00a0<\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/content.tfl.gov.uk\/phv-driver-abstract-of-laws.pdf\">appeal rules<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Ola claims to have 25,000 drivers registered on its platform in London and serves dozens of other UK cities, including Liverpool, Birmingham, Cardiff, and Coventry.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Response\"><\/span>Response<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>In a statement, Marc Rozendal, Ola\u2019s UK Managing Director, said: \u201cAt Ola, our core principle is to work closely, collaboratively and transparently with regulators such as TfL. We have been working with TfL during the review period and have sought to provide assurances and address the issues raised in an open and transparent manner.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOla will take the opportunity to appeal this decision and in doing so, our riders and drivers can rest assured that we will continue to operate as normal, providing safe and reliable mobility for London.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The firm\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cityam.com\/ride-hailing-firms-gett-and-ola-sign-corporate-partnership\/\">formed a partnership<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span>with ride-hailer<span>\u00a0<\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/gett.com\/uk\/\">Gett<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span>in August, as an extra capacity provider for its services.<\/p>\n<p>Ola\u2019s license refusal comes just one week after rival Uber\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cities-today.com\/uber-wins-legal-battle-to-operate-in-london\/\">won an appeal<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span>against having its license to operate withdrawn in London.
