Unfortunately, with studios still hesitant to send movie to theaters due to the coronavirus, that will probably be the case for a little while longer. But Netflix will help remedy that by sending <strong>Ryan Murphy<\/strong>\u2018s big adaptation of the Broadway musical <strong><em>The Prom<\/em><\/strong> to limited theaters and their streaming library on the same day in December, and the first trailer has just arrived. Prepare for a lot of glitz and glamour, folks.<span id=\"more-642421\"><\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Prom_Trailer\"><\/span>The Prom Trailer<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Prom | Official Teaser Trailer | Netflix\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Zt9v3f35l5Y?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Based on <strong>Matthew Sklar<\/strong>\u2018s Broadway musical of the same name, the story follows a high school girl (<strong>Jo Ellen Pellman<\/strong>) in Indiana who is lamenting the fact that the PTA has banned her from attending the prom with her girlfriend (<strong>Ariana De Bose<\/strong>). Meanwhile, two Broadway stars (<strong>Meryl Streep<\/strong> and <strong>James Corden<\/strong>) fresh off a major flop are looking for a way to reinvigorate their careers, and they see Emma\u2019s cause as they perfect way to do so, and they\u2019re bringing a couple more Broadway friends (<strong>Nicole Kidman<\/strong> and <strong>Andrew Rannells<\/strong>) with them.<br \/>\n<!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post -->Look, I haven\u2019t been much of a fan of anything Ryan Murphy has done since the early seasons of<em> Glee<\/em>. With the exception of the HBO drama movie <em>The Normal Heart<\/em>, Murphy has a tendency to get excited about a new <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a>, and then becomes totally disinterested with it and lets it drop steeply in quality. I know <em>American Horror Story<\/em> still has its loyal fans, but like almost everything Murphy does, it feels like a little much. But when you have a big, grand musical like this, this feels like something Ryan Murphy can execute very well, and I\u2019m honestly pretty excited to see <em>The Prom<\/em> after this trailer.<\/p>\n<p>The cast also includes <strong>Keegan-Michael Key<\/strong> as the high school principal, <strong>Kerry Wahshginton<\/strong> as the head of the PTA, as well as <strong>Tracey Ullman<\/strong>, <strong>Kevin Chamberlin<\/strong>, <strong>Mary Kay Place<\/strong>, <strong>Nico Greetham<\/strong>, <strong>Logan Riley<\/strong>, <strong>Nathaniel J. Potvin<\/strong>, and <strong>Sofia Deler<\/strong> in supporting roles.
