But what if The Underground Railroad wasn\u2019t merely a metaphor, but rather an actual railroad full of engineers and conductors riding on secret network of tracks and tunnels beneath the southern soil, taking slaves on the first journey of their free life?<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s what <em>Moonlight<\/em> director <strong>Barry Jenkins<\/strong>\u2018 <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> adaptation of <em>The Underground Railroad<\/em>, based on <strong>Colson Whitehead<\/strong>\u2019s <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/0385542364\/?tag=film-20\">Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name<\/a>, imagines. A new teaser introduces us to one of the story\u2019s main characters: Cora Randall, played by <strong>Thuso Mbedu<\/strong>. In addition to being a slave on a cotton plantation in Georgia, Cora isn\u2019t exactly welcome in the circles of other African-Americans either. But the footage in this new teaser looks like it\u2019s actually from the series rather than establishing a mood . Plus, we get to hear even more of that incredible score by composer <strong>Nicholas Britell<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Though the teaser introduces us to Cora Randall, it still doesn\u2019t give us much of the story. For that, you can turn to the official de<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">script<\/a>ion of the book:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Cora is a slave on a cotton plantation in Georgia. Life is hell for all the slaves, but especially bad for Cora; an outcast even among her fellow Africans, she is coming into womanhood\u2014where even greater pain awaits. When Caesar, a recent arrival from Virginia, tells her about the Underground Railroad, they decide to take a terrifying risk and escape. Matters do not go as planned\u2014Cora kills a young white boy who tries to capture her. Though they manage to find a station and head north, they are being hunted.<\/p>\n<p>Cora and Caesar\u2019s first stop is South Carolina, in a city that initially seems like a haven. But the city\u2019s placid surface masks an insidious scheme designed for its black denizens. And even worse: Ridgeway, the relentless slave catcher, is close on their heels. Forced to flee again, Cora embarks on a harrowing flight, state by state, seeking true freedom.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Though Barry Jenkins is telling a story rooted in the realities of slavery from from pre-Civil War times, this sort of alternate reality approach to The Underground Railroad adds a new wrinkle in these familiar but always harrowing stories. The result seems to be a true odyssey as we follow Cora\u2019s path to freedom and all the trials and tribulations that come with it.<br \/>\n<!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post_2 --><em>The Underground Railroad<\/em> also stars <strong>Chase W. Dillon<\/strong>, <strong>Aaron Pierre<\/strong> and<strong> Joel Edgerton<\/strong>, with supporting performances from <strong>Damon Herriman<\/strong>, <strong>William Jackson Harper<\/strong>, <strong>Amber Gray<\/strong>, <strong>Jim Klock<\/strong>, <strong>Lily Rabe<\/strong>, <strong>Fred Hechinger<\/strong>, and <strong>Owen Harn<\/strong>.
