“#Miley Cyrus Announces New Album Plastic Hearts<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Miley Cyrus has announced her new album Plastic Hearts<\/em>. It\u2019s out November 27 and includes her recent single \u201cMidnight Sky,\u201d plus her recent live covers of Blondie\u2019s \u201cHeart of Glass\u201d and the Cranberries\u2019 \u201cZombie.\u201d She released a handwritten letter about the new album, which you can find in full below.<\/p>\n

\u201cI began this album over 2 years ago,\u201d she wrote. \u201cThought I had it all figured out. Not just the record\u2014its songs\/sounds but my whole fucking life. No one checks an ego like life itself. Just when I thought the body of work was finished it was all erased, including most of the music\u2019s relevance because everything had changed.\u201d<\/p>\n

She wrote that losing her home<\/a> in a 2018 California wildfire informed the album. \u201cNature did what I now see as a favor and destroyed what I couldn\u2019t let go of for myself,\u201d she continued. \u201cI lost my house in a fire but found myself in its ashes.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Cyrus also references the EP series<\/a> she began with the release of the She Is Coming<\/em> EP, saying it \u201cnever felt right\u201d to continue telling her story in that format. \u201cIf it were a chapter in my book I guess I would call it \u2018The Beginning\u2019 which usually when something is over we call it \u2018The End,\u2019\u201d she wrote. \u201cBut it was far from that.\u201d She concludes the note with the album\u2019s release date and the words, \u201cThink you\u2019ll love it, & if you don\u2019t, fuck you.\u201d<\/p>\n

After premiering \u201cMidnight Sky\u201d with a self-directed video, she performed the song at MTV\u2019s Video Music Awards. Though she\u2019s discussed a new album on the way, she hasn\u2019t yet shared release plans for her next album. Her most recent album was 2017\u2019s Younger Now<\/em>.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s worth noting that the font and design of Cyrus\u2019 new album cover looks pretty similar to the Plasmatics\u2019 album covers<\/a>.<\/p>\n
