\n Chilling video shows the moment a suicidal father drove his truck off a cliff in San Diego with his 2-year-old twin daughters inside before all three were rescued.<\/p>\n

The man plunged off Sunset Cliffs about 4:30 a.m. on Saturday after threatening his wife that he would do so, KNSD reported.<\/p>\n

Dramatic surveillance footage posted to Facebook<\/a> by CBS News<\/a> 8 reporter Abbie Alford shows the man\u2019s pickup truck with its headlights on as it shoots over the edge and falls roughly 30 feet into the water.<\/p>\n

The video shows the large splash the vehicle made upon impact with the water.<\/p>\n

Another vehicle was closely behind, though it\u2019s unclear if it was a police car.<\/p>\n

But officers responded quickly and were able to save the father and his daughters.<\/p>\n

San Diego Police K-9 Officer, Jonathan Wiese, was one of the first cops on the scene and told KNSD that he repelled down the cliffside to reach the family.<\/p>\n

Recounting to the outlet what he saw when he made it down to the water, Wiese said, \u201cHe had both girls,\u201d referring to the father.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was holding them and trying to tread water, but they were all going under. One was awake and crying the other one was pretty lifeless.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wiese managed to get the group out of the water and onto a nearby rock.<\/p>\n

The father and one of his 2-year-old daughters suffered minor injuries. The other daughter was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but was expected to recover.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
