With that in mind, what better time than the present to dive in here a little bit more?<\/p>\n<p>At the moment, we know that filming on the sixth season has yet to even begin \u2014 with that in mind, it\u2019s hard to even\u00a0<em>think\u00a0<\/em>about a specific premiere date. We just can\u2019t help ourselves when it comes to pondering over certain parts of it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For some more\u00a0<em>Outlander\u00a0<\/em>discussion in video form,\u00a0<\/strong>remember to check out some of the latest below! Once you take a look at that,\u00a0<strong><a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/youtube.com\/cartermatttv\/\">subscribe<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>to Matt &amp; Jess on <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">YouTube<\/a> and then view our <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=QLCtB_JPr1M\">playlist<\/a>. We\u2019ll have more insight coming\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s talk how Starz could air these upcoming episodes. There is a school of thought that the network should just wait until all episodes are complete and then air them without any hiatuses \u2014 ideally, this is probably the best. Midseason interruptions are hard, even if a split-season format is something that gets you some episodes a little bit earlier. (After all, you don\u2019t have to wait for all of the episodes to be complete to start airing them!)<\/p>\n<p>There is a reason why the network may consider airing the season in two batches of six episodes \u2014 just look at what they are doing with another show in\u00a0<em>Power Book II: Ghost.\u00a0<\/em>Because of the pandemic, new episodes weren\u2019t able to finish filming earlier this year and with that, the network aired five episodes this fall, with five more coming in December. The merit to doing this is that they go ahead and get episodes out there. The disadvantage is that you leave people hanging with a pretty-big cliffhanger.<\/p>\n<p>Starz may be concerned about\u00a0<em>too\u00a0<\/em>long a hiatus from\u00a0<em>Outlander\u00a0<\/em>season 5 to season 6. If filming doesn\u2019t start until next year, we can\u2019t imagine all of the episodes airing until next fall. Yet, you may be able to split up the season into two batches and start it in the summer. This may intrigue the network, and it may also intrigue some fans to get stories sooner rather than later. It would certainly drive subscriber revenue.<\/p>\n<p>But is it the best thing for the momentum of the story? That\u2019s something we don\u2019t have an answer to at the moment, but we\u2019ve made our preference clear \u2014 it\u2019s okay to wait sometimes for a complete season rather than have it split into halves.
