\n Apple will reopen its New York City stores by appointment this week after the coronavirus shuttered them for three months.<\/p>\n

The iPhone-maker\u2019s 10 retail locations will open their doors this week for the first time since March, it said in a statement, allowing customers to schedule appointments for order pickups or device repairs.<\/p>\n

The Cupertino, Calif.-based company did not say which day the stores will reopen or what the hours for reopening will be, and told customers to check its website.<\/p>\n

Apple\u2019s global flagship store on Fifth Avenue will be among locations that are reopening, along with other stores in Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island and Brooklyn.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis week we\u2019ll return to serving customers in many more US locations including by appointment in New York City, where we\u2019re proud to stand beside New Yorkers as they emerge from this incredibly difficult time,\u201d Apple said.<\/p>\n

Visitors to the stores will be required to \u201cpractice additional steps for the health of employees and customers,\u201d Apple said, \u201cincluding temperature checks, face coverings and social<\/a> distancing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Apple first closed its stores for two weeks on March 4, before extending the closure \u201cindefinitely\u201d on March 17. It\u00a0began reopening locations in May.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
