Klein at City Journal<\/a>, and those attacks, along with the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>\u2019s \u201ccontinual faultfinding,\u201d have influenced voter opinion. But they\u2019re \u201cunjustified and unwarranted.\u201d Yes, the FDA\u2019s \u201cinitial overregulation and the Centers for Disease Control\u2019s early underperformance\u201d made Trump a \u201cready target.\u201d But the president\u2019s \u201ctargeted regulatory relief and financial incentives stimulated an unprecedented private-sector response to the pandemic, more than compensating.\u201d Crucially, \u201cOperation Warp Speed is compressing the usual new-vaccine implementation time from over ten years to a matter of months\u201d and states that heeded Trump\u2019s advice to reopen quickly \u201chave seen proportionally fewer deaths from COVID-19 and have brought millions more Americans back to work than those that proceeded more slowly.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Urban_desk_Packs_of_%E2%80%98Protesting_Predators\"><\/span>Urban desk: Packs of \u2018Protesting\u2019 Predators<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/spectator.us\/week-portland-baying-antifa-mob\">The Spectator\u2019s Douglas Murray<\/a> joined Antifa-BLM activists in Portland for a few nights. At a \u201cF- \u2013 k Gentrification\u201d march, they paraded \u201cthrough the streets screaming through megaphones at customers in the remaining bars and at the residents of an area which they claimed had once been lived in by black and indigenous families.\u201d Chants of \u201cthe mostly white marchers\u201d included \u201cWake up, motherf \u2013 \u2013 ker, wake up.\u201d The next night, they set fires outside a boarded-up ICE building; police responded, only \u201cto retreat under a barrage of \u2018oink\u2019 noises\u201d and cries of \u201cNazis,\u201d with activists \u201cscreaming through megaphones . . . about how much the officers\u2019 children would hate their fathers.\u201d They have now pulled down \u201calmost every statue and public monument in the city,\u201d and the few businesses still open operate \u201cas in a city under siege.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Libertarian_15-Wage_Confusion\"><\/span>Libertarian: $15-Wage Confusion<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Joe Biden paradoxically wants to \u201chelp small businesses\u201d\u00a0by \u201craising their labor costs with a minimum wage hike\u201d from $7.25 to $15 an hour, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/reason.com\/2020\/10\/22\/joe-bidens-proposal-to-double-the-minimum-wage-to-15-an-hour-wont-help-small-businesses\/\">observes Reason\u2019s Christian Britschgi<\/a>. Most studies find a correlation between a higher minimum wage and higher unemployment rates or fewer working hours, so \u201cit\u2019ll likely hurt workers, too.\u201d It\u2019s \u201ca bit of a mystery\u201d how Biden could think \u201csmall businesses already coping with massive declines in revenue and increased operating costs would benefit from having their labor get more expensive.\u201d In Thursday\u2019s debate, Biden said struggling businesses should get more money from Congress; Britschgi snarks that \u201cif he has his way on the minimum wage, they\u2019ll need all the assistance they can get.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"From_the_right_Joe_Hasnt_Made_the_Case\"><\/span>From the right: Joe Hasn\u2019t Made the Case<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>When \u201cyou take a clear-eyed look at Biden, there is no meaningful case for his candidacy,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/opinion\/campaign\/522050-the-best-case-against-a-biden-presidency-him\">argues Lisa Boothe at The Hill<\/a>. The Post\u2019s reporting about Hunter Biden\u2019s business dealings calls into question the \u201cgood guy\u201d fa\u00e7ade on which the Biden campaign is based. His record on racial justice \u201chas been widely criticized by Democrats and others,\u201d and his call for national civility is overshadowed by his behavior as a senator, leading \u201ctwo of the most vitriolic, destructive Supreme Court confirmation hearings, for Judge Robert Bork and Justice Clarence Thomas.\u201d And his constant flip-flopping means \u201cvoters have no reason to trust Biden on policies either.\u201d While the president \u201ccertainly has his own faults, you always know where he stands and what he believes. What\u2019s the case for Biden?\u201d<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Economist_Dont_Underestimate_Biden_Pain\"><\/span>Economist: Don\u2019t Underestimate Biden Pain<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>At RealClearPolitics, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/articles\/2020\/10\/20\/bidens_7_economic_deadly_sins_144489.html\">Stephen Moore argues<\/a> that despite Joe Biden\u2019s claims, \u201cthere\u2019s nothing centrist\u201d in his economic plan. Though polls show most voters believe President Trump would be better for the economy, many also think \u201cUncle Joe\u2019s economic plan is relatively harmless and won\u2019t endanger jobs, paychecks or retirement savings.\u201d Wrong.
