Another day, another goofy\u00a0Avatar 2<\/em> <\/strong>behind-the-scenes photo. Since so much of James Cameron<\/strong>\u2018s long-awaited sequel is going to be created digitally, much of the behind-the-scenes imagery has looked rather silly, with actors in motion-capture suits floating in big water tanks. And this latest image \u2013 which features Kate Winslet<\/strong> posing like Dracula at the YMCA pool, is no exception.<\/p>\n

\nI know the week just started, but I can already tell it\u2019s going to be a rough one. With the election fast app<\/a>roaching, I am stressed as heck, and that\u2019s severely hampering my mood. I could use a good laugh. Thankfully, the latest\u00a0Avatar 2<\/em> behind-the-scenes image came to my rescue. Folks, I\u2019m not going to blab away here about whether or not anyone cares about an\u00a0Avatar<\/em> sequel at this point. For all I know, James Cameron\u2019s sequel is going to be the best movie ever made. But one thing is clear: the behind-the-scenes imagery is\u00a0very<\/em> funny. How could it not be? I mean\u2026look at that. There you have respected, award-winning actress Kate Winslet wearing what appears to be a cape, her arms spread wide like Batman (or Dracula), strolling across the bottom of a water tank. Also, there are\u2026area rugs on the floor of the tank? For some reason? I don\u2019t know. It\u2019s amazing.<\/p>\n

Winslet recently talked with THR<\/a> about her work on the film, saying: \u201cI had to learn how to free-dive to play that role in\u00a0Avatar<\/em>, and that was just incredible. My longest breath hold was seven minutes and 14 seconds, like crazy, crazy stuff.\u201d Winslet added: \u201cI play a water person. I am a water person.\u201d There you have it, gang: Kate Winslet is playing a water person, whatever the hell that is.<\/p>\n

Avatar 2<\/em>, which brings back\u00a0Sam Worthington<\/strong>, Zoe Saldana<\/strong>, Stephen Lang<\/strong>, Giovanni Ribisi<\/strong>, Joel David Moore<\/strong>, Dileep Rao<\/strong>, CCH Pounder<\/strong>, Matt Gerald<\/strong>, and Sigourney Weaver<\/strong> alongside new cast members Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis<\/strong>, Edie Falco<\/strong>, Brendan Cowell<\/strong>, Michelle Yeoh<\/strong>, Jemaine Clement<\/strong>, Oona Chaplin<\/strong>, CJ Jones<\/strong>, and Vin Diesel<\/strong>, swims into theaters\u00a0December 16, 2022<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
