    Just weeks after closing its acquisition of TD Ameritrade, Charles Schwab Corp. announced Monday it will lay off about 1,000 employees, or 3% of its combined workforce.<\/p>\n<p> \u201cToday, we are taking further steps to bring our companies together \u2014streamlining our structure and reshaping our branch network,\u201d Schwab said in a statement. \u201cAs a result, we have begun notifying individuals that their roles have been eliminated and they will be leaving the firm.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"paywall\">\n       \u201cThese reductions are part of our efforts to reduce overl<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ing or redundant roles across the two firms, but the combined firm will continue to hire in strategic areas critical to support our growing client base,\u201d Schwab said.<\/p>\n<p>The $26 billion merger finalized Oct. 6, creating a discount brokerage with around $6 trillion in client assets.<\/p>\n<p>Schwab shares<br \/>\n        SCHW,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/201281754\/composite\" class=\"negative\">-2.97%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       are down nearly 18% year to date, compared to the S&amp;P 500\u2019s<br \/>\n        SPX,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/210599714\/realtime\"
