\n Caitlyn Jenner has landed her first acting gig since transitioning in 2017<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jenner, who will turn 71 on Wednesday, will co-star in \u201cDuke of the Valley,\u201d a script<\/a>ed sitcom based on the memoirs of \u201cEight Is Enough\u201d star Dick Van Patten, who died in 2015. The Wrap reported<\/a> Monday that the show was created by Dick\u2019s son, Vince Van Patten, and grandson, Duke Van Patten.<\/p>\n

The series<\/a> will document the lives of people in an apartment building in California\u2019s San Fernando Valley, with Duke playing himself as a struggling Hollywood actor. The Wrap reported that among the apartment residents will be Heather, a \u201cwhite trash\u201d transgender perfume salesperson played by Jenner, who came out<\/a> as trans in April 2015 to much media<\/a> hype.<\/p>\n

Jenner last acted \u2014 though playing herself \u2014 in a 2016 episode of the Amazon Prime series \u201cTransparent.\u201d Pre-transition, she appeared in a number of TV shows, including \u201cThe Love Boat,\u201d \u201cMurder, She Wrote\u201d and \u201cCHiPs,\u201d as well as the Village People-centric 1980 film \u201cCan\u2019t Stop the Music.\u201d In 2018, she said she would love<\/a> to expand her acting r\u00e9sum\u00e9 with a turn as a cinematic comic-book villain.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn a Marvel movie, I want to play the baddest-ass lady you\u2019ve ever seen in your life,\u201d Jenner told Variety. \u201cThey got the wicked queen or the wicked lady. Just do the makeup and the outfit. And I got the deep voice.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Bravo host and bigwig Andy Cohen earlier this month shot down<\/a> conjecture that Jenner and her rumored girlfriend, Sophia Hutchins, 24, could be joining \u201cThe Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.\u201d Even casting Jenner as just a \u201cfriend of the Housewives\u201d was a stretch, said Cohen, adding, \u201cNo, I just don\u2019t see it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Other actors signed on for the Van Patten project include Thai Fong as Heather\u2019s roommate, Fong, and \u201cThe Real Housewives of Beverly Hills\u201d alum Eileen Davidson \u2014 who is married to Vince Van Patten and Duke\u2019s stepmom in real life \u2014 as a washed-up actress.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
