It\u2019s going to be a graveyard smash over at Mondo, who are releasing four Universal Monsters puzzles this December. The puzzles, which feature\u00a0Frankenstein<\/strong>,\u00a0The Wolf Man<\/strong>,\u00a0Dracula<\/strong>, and\u00a0Creature from the Black Lagoon<\/strong>, are designed by beloved\u00a0poster artist\u00a0Francesco Francavilla<\/strong>, whose\u00a0classic designs have been transformed into gorgeous 1,000-piece puzzles.<\/p>\n

Mondo is putting on a monster mash \u2014 a Universal Monster mash, that is. The pop culture app<\/a>arel company is debuting four Universal Monsters puzzles for\u00a0Frankenstein,\u00a0The Wolf Man,\u00a0Dracula, and\u00a0Creature from the Black Lagoon all designed by\u00a0poster artist\u00a0Francesco Francavilla. ComingSoon.Net<\/a> debuted the exclusive first look at the Mondo Universal Monsters puzzles, which are set to\u00a0go on sale today at\u00a0MondoShop.com<\/a>.
\n\u201cI was so excited when Mondo asked me to turn my Universal Monsters screenprints into puzzles. After seeing how cool and entertaining the\u00a0Jurassic Park<\/em>\u00a0one turned out, I jumped at the prospect to have more puzzle fun with my posters,\u201d\u00a0Francavilla told ComingSoon.Net.<\/p>\n

Francavilla also shared how he designed each piece:<\/p>\n

\u201cFor\u00a0Frankenstein<\/strong>, it took me quite a bit to draw the lab and the cavernous walls of the castle. I think those areas will be lot of fun to fit together and see the Monster come alive!<\/p>\n

The Wolf Man<\/strong>\u00a0must be the poster where I\u2019ve drawn more hair (fur?) than anywhere else. It\u2019s gonna be thrilling to see the iconic Lon Chaney Jr makeup coming together against the full moon in the background. AROOOOOO!<\/p>\n

Some of my favorite classic\u00a0Dracula<\/strong>\u00a0posters featured a spider web in the design, so when asked to do my take on this classic, I had to include the web. And Bela\u2019s chilling stare!
\nThe Creature from the Black Lagoon<\/strong>\u00a0is one of my fave designs in movies<\/a> ever \u2014 I\u2019ve lost count of how many times I\u2019ve drawn this guy. For the puzzle, we decided to go with my\u00a0Revenge of the Creature<\/strong>\u00a0poster because I thought the design and intricacy of the art would be really fun and challenging.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Each puzzle, priced at $20, is 1000 pieces and is 20\u2033 x 28\u2033.\u00a0The items are expected to ship in December 2020, making it the perfect spooky holiday gift.<\/p>\n

And this Universal Monster mash is getting even more crowded, with the release of new\u00a0Universal Monsters items including Figures, Tikis, Apparel, and pins.<\/p>\n
