In particular, it is eyeing a new spin-off show revolving around the character of Tom Swift \u2026 with a few big twists.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/tvline.com\/2020\/10\/28\/nancy-drew-spinoff-tom-swift-black-gay-the-cw\/\">TVLine<\/a>, the network is changing the character to where they will be Black and gay, a deviation from the source material. The logline claims that the show will follow the \u201cserialized adventures of the billionaire inventor who is thrust into a world of sci-fi conspiracy and unexplained phenomena after the shocking dis<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>earance of his father. Tom takes to the road on a quest to unravel the truth, leaving behind the comforts of his usual moneyed lifestyle, all while fighting to stay one step ahead of an Illuminati-scale group hell-bent on stopping him. Tom\u2019s missions will require his genius and flair for innovation guided by love, romance, friendship and the mysteries of the universe yet-unsolved.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll admit that this is a pretty darn compelling tease for a show \u2014 whether or not it morphs into something that eventually airs, however, remains to be seen. It often takes time for networks to figure out these decisions, and the latest\u00a0<em>Nancy Drew\u00a0<\/em>season isn\u2019t airing until 2021. While the first season was not a runaway hit in terms of live viewership, it did develop a digital and streaming following. We\u2019ll see where things go from here.<\/p>\n<p>We know already that The CW is not averse to spin-offs, having greenlit many in the\u00a0<em>Arrow\u00a0<\/em>universe and also considering two for\u00a0<em>Supernatural,\u00a0<\/em>though neither aired.
