#Witcher 3: How To Beat Pesta In The A Towerful of Mice Quest -BB

Geralt has to face a number of powerful foes in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, but some of the most annoying enemies in the game are wraiths, as it can be difficult to land a blow on them. The people who are transformed into witchers must undergo rigorous training and have their bodies altered through alchemy, but they still need the help of outside sources when fighting spirits.

The people who play The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will generally complete Keira Metz’s questline early on, which will bring them face to face with a powerful wraith known as a Pesta. The reason why so many people have trouble with this boss and other wraiths is due to a lack of preparation. The player can easily finish all of the battles up to this point using a sword and Geralt’s signs, without the need for any additional oils or potions. The first time that the player encounters a wraith, they’ll find themselves unable to deal much damage, which can leave them frustrated after carving their way through so many enemies. Screen Rant is here to offer advice on how to deal with the troublesome Pesta boss battle.

Pesta are also known as plague maidens, as they are undead wraiths with the power to spread disease in the real world. They possess the ability to communicate with and control disease-carrying creatures, such as swarms of insects and rats. The one that Geralt fights was once a woman named Anabelle, who once drank a potion that paralyzed her body, convincing rioting peasants that she was dead. Anabelle was eaten alive by rats while still under the effects of the potion, which led to returning to haunt the living as a plague maiden.

The Pesta boss battle happens during the „A Towerful of Mice“ quest. Geralt is dispatched to the tower on Fyke Isle by Keira Metz, in order to seek out the research notes left by a mage named Alexander. It’s here that Geralt will learn the story of Anabelle and her doomed love with a man named Graham. Anabelle will ask Geralt to bring her bones to Graham and if he refuses, the two must battle.

Geralt has to fight the Pesta boss a couple of times, but the first few battles involve swatting Anabelle with the sword and causing her to flee. Once the two of them reach the bottom of the tower, Anabelle will gain a boss health meter and the true fight will begin.

In order to prepare for the Pesta boss fight, the player should stock up on Specter Oil, which will increase the damage dealt to her. Geralt knows how to create this oil by default and it can be made with some bear fat and four arenaria flowers. The easiest way to acquire these ingredients is by buying them from Tomira the herbalist in White Orchard. The boss is also susceptible to being slowed down by the Yrden sign.

During the battle, the Pesta boss will fire clouds of swarming insects at Geralt, which will deal a ton of damage. The player can use the Igni sign to dispose of these insects. The boss tends to charge at Geralt, so the player needs to be ready to jump backward at a moment’s notice and rush in for an attack. This is a battle of attrition, so the player needs to be ready with Specter Oil and whatever other buffing food & potions they can get their hands on. Keep switching between Yrden to slow her down and Igni to burn the insects, and keep chipping away at her until she is defeated.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available now for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
