Japan's Emperor and Empress Attended Charity Screening of In This Corner Of The World Anime Film
Japan’s Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako, along with their daughter Aiko, attended a charity screening of the anime film Kono Sekai no (Sarani Ikutsumono) Katasumi ni / In This Corner (and Other Corners) of the World, held at Nisho Hall in Tokyo on December 18.
The family sat side by side with director Sunao Katabuchi and Non, the voice cast of the protagonist character Suzu, in the audience and watched the film that carefully portrayed the lives of Japanese people at the end of the World War II. The donations gathered at the event will be used to fund activities of the Hiroshima branch of the Japan Red Cross Society.
