According to Counterpoint Research, India for the first time surpassed the US to become the second-largest smartphone market in the world reaching 158 million shipments in 2019. Indian smartphone market’s growth is lead by mid-tier segment where Chinese brands aggressively introduced many flagship-grade features and capabilities.
