Superchunk have shared a new two-song single for Halloween: On the A-side is a new track called “There’s a Ghost.” The B-side is a cover of the Sisters of Mercy’s “Alice.” Listen to both songs below.
Earlier this year, the band contributed a cover of the Go-Gos’ “Can’t Stop the World” to the compilation Cover Charge: NC Artists Go Under Cover to Benefit Cat’s Cradle for the longstanding rock club in Carrboro, North Carolina. In years past, the band has marked Halloween with Misfits covers: “Children in Heat” in 2013, “Where Eagles Dare” in 2011, and “Horror Business” in 2010.
Superchunk’s most recent album was 2018’s What a Time to Be Alive.
