Adams explained that the mother of Jaslyn claimed he isn’t even the biological father to his baby girl and that he and his family aren’t even welcomed at the funeral arrangements.

On April 19, two armed individuals opened fire on Adams’ silver sedan with seven shots striking and tragically killing the 7-year-old. Jontae Adams was hit but suffered non-threatening injuries that will leave him on crutches for a few weeks.
According to ABC7, Chicago police made one arrest of 18-year-old Marion Lewis, who is being charged with first-degree murder among 17 felonies in total. Police are calling for the other suspects in the shooting of the first-grader to come forward.

“You can run but you can’t hide,” Chicago Police Department Superintendent David Brown said at a news conference. “We are going to bring you to justice for this crime. The Adams family deserves nothing less.”
