“#Kono Healer, Mendokusai Releases New PV, April Debut, Additional Character”
A new trailer for the upcoming Kono Healer, Mendokusai anime was released ahead of its April 2022 premiere. The isekai comedy manga series was confirmed for an anime adaptation last April, with an initial teaser trailer released just a few months later. Jumondou is in charge of production.
In addition, voice actress Asuna Tomari was announced to be playing Mushroom/Oretegaia, a mushroom-shaped supernatural entity that joins the two main characters on their journey. Aguri Oonishi will play Karla, a dark elf healer, while Takuya Satou plays her companion swordsman, Alvin.
Oonishi will also be performing the anime’s opening theme “Jellyfish na Kimi e.”
The original digital manga by Tannen ni Hakkou is currently serialized on ComicWalker, Monthly Comic Flapper, and Nico Nico Seiga. Four tankoubon volumes have been collected and released so far.
The story follows Alvin, a wisecracking swordsman whose quips are sharper than his sword, and his accompanying healer Karla. Unfortunately for Alvin, Karla’s rudeness makes her a constant source of annoyance for him.
The main anime production team include Nobuaki Nakanishi (Koihime Musou) as director, Fumihiko Shimo (Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki) as scriptwriter, and Chisato Kikunaga (Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle co-sub-character designer) as character designer.
