Days after Latto confirmed 21 Savage would feature on her highly-anticipated new track “Wheelie,” the pair linked up for the track’s official music video on Friday (March 11).

The visual comes after Latto began teasing the track back in February. She was initially reluctant to disclose who would feature alongside her on the new song. She hinted at fans that the feature was a parent, diamond-certified and a previous Met Gala attendee. Fans guessed it was either Cardi B or Nicki Minaj, but Latto was quick to reject those answers on social media.

The Colin Tilley-directed video features bikers pulling outrageous stunts as Latto and 21 attack their verses. Prior to its official release, “Wheelie” had already done big numbers on TikTok in February, kickstarting a viral dance challenge. Latto reposted her favorite dance routines on Instagram on February 9.

“This mf ain’t even out yet,” she wrote in the caption.

This isn’t the first time Latto and 21 have linked up, the pair worked together on “Pull Up” off Latto’s previous album Queen of Da Souf. Before confirming 21 would feature on “Wheelie,” the Clayton County lyricist came under fire after she name-dropped the rapper and other ATL affiliates on Omeretta The Great’s “Sorry Not Sorry (Remix)”, with many fans accusing her of throwing shade since Omeretta had used the track to dictate what she believed to be considered Atlanta.

“Y’all I’m not dissing the people I named on the verse!!” Latto wrote on Twitter. “I’m saying so Migos is not Atlanta?? 21, Ciara, Ludacris etc because they technically not from the city but helped make it what it is!”

The drama hasn’t stopped Latto from putting up big numbers though. Latto’s previous single “Big Energy” cracked the top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100 last week, peaking on Tuesday (March 8) at No. 17.
