“Yeah Yeah Yeahs announce UK shows”
The punk group will play new music at their first UK gigs in nine years.

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are ending a nine-year sabbatical from playing live in the United Kingdom this summer with two concerts. The New York City punk band will play at Manchester’s O2 Arena on June 5 with opening act English Teacher, and on June 7 at the O2 Academy Brixton in London — Dry Cleaning and Anika are the special guests for that performance.
In a press statement, Yeah Yeah Yeahs promised to perform brand new songs at the concerts. The last YYYs album, Mosquito, was released in 2013 followed by a half-decade hiatus.
