The second season of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation has received a new visual promoting the upcoming “Ranoa Magic Academy Arc,” which begins on August 6.
Aside from protagonist Rudeus Greyrat, the visual also features Fitz/Sylphiette, Elinalise Dragonroad, Ariel Asura, Luke, Zanoba Shirone, and Cliff Grimoire.
Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 premiered on July 2 (effectively July 3 at 12 AM JST) in Japan. Crunchyroll, Muse Asia, and Bilibili are streaming the show outside of Japan. The second cour will begin in April 2024.
The anime is an adaptation of the KADOKAWA-published isekai light novel series written by Rifujin na Magonote with illustrations from Shirotaka, which began in 2014 and ended in November 2022 with 26 volumes. The books are published under the MF Books label.
Seven Seas describes the series as:
Kicked out by his family and wandering the streets, an unemployed 34-year-old shut-in thinks he’s hit rock-bottom—just as he’s hit and killed by a speeding truck! Awakening to find himself reborn as an infant in a world of swords and sorcery, but with the memories of his first life intact, Rudeus Greyrat is determined not to repeat his past mistakes. He’s going to make the most of this reincarnation as he sets off on the adventure of a second lifetime!
Mushoku Tensei Season 2 is directed by Hiroki Hirano (Season 1 assistant director) with Toshiya Oono (Shadows House) as series composer and Sanae Shimada (Photokano) as character designer. Returning staff from the first season include Masakazu Miyake as art director and Yoshiaki Fujisawa as music composer. Studio Bind is again the production company.
The cast includes:

• Reina Ueda as Ariel
• Kazuyuki Okitsu as Luke
Mushoku Tensei started off as a Shousetsuka ni Narou web novel in 2012. The light novels have inspired a manga adaptation and multiple spin-offs.
