Callahan released Gold Record last week, a year on from predecessor Shepherd in a Sheepskin Vest, from which “Released” is taken. In the interim, Callahan released or recorded a handful of covers, taking in Silver Jews’ “I Remember Me,” Lee Clayton’s “If You Could Touch Her at All,” and Leonard Cohen’s “So Long, Marianne.”
