Ready at Dawn was established in 2003, and acquired by Meta in June 2020 for its virtual reality game development capabilities.
Outside of the Lone Echo series, Ready at Dawn is primarily known for its work on a number of Sony Interactive Entertainment games, including Daxter, God of War: Chains of Olympus, and God of War: Ghost of Sparta for PSP, God of War: Origins Collection for PlayStation 3, and The Order: 1886 for PlayStation 4.
According to Android Central, which first broke the news, Meta is encouraging former Ready at Dawn staff to apply for a role elsewhere within Oculus Studios, and hopes to retain as many employees as possible.
