“Our hope was always to launch simultaneously on all platforms,” Playtonic Friends said in a press release. “Unfortunately, due to some unforeseen difficulties with development we made the decision to move ahead with launching on PC and mobile with a launch on Nintendo Switch to follow at a later date. But worry not! We will have news about the Switch launch very soon! It’s not far behind!”
While the Kickstarter campaign for Victory Heat Rally also targeted PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions, and still lists those versions today, a Playtonic Friends representative told Gematsu there are currently no plans to release Victory Heat Rally for those platforms, as it only signed Switch, PC, and mobile releases with the developer, and is not associated with the Kickstarter campaign.
