A TV anime adaptation of The Dinner Table Detective (Nazotoki wa Dinner no Atode) mystery novels by Tokuya Higashigawa will begin airing in 2025.
A teaser visual drawn by the anime’s original character designer Oreko Tachibana (Promise Cinderella mangaka) was released with the announcement.
The main characters of The Dinner Table Detective are Reiko Hosho, a newbie detective and the daughter of a business mogul, and her butler Kageyama. The Shogakukan-published series began as a serialized work in 2007 and debuted in tankoubon form in 2010. It has inspired a live-action drama and movie, stage play, and manga.
