Over a decade ago, Mac Miller was creating Watching Movies With the Sound Off, the 2013 album that would elevate the Pittsburgh MC and producer from frat-rapper to respected hip-hop artist. Around the same time, he worked on another project called Balloonerism — that collection of songs has long since leaked online, but on January 17, it’ll see an official release. It’s the latest posthumous collection of music since Miller’s passing in September 2018 assembled by his estate. The album’s lead single is called “5 Dollar Pony Rides,” and you can hear it below.
