Tetsuhiro Koshita‘s Dodge Danko (Honoo no Toukyuuji Dodge Danko) manga is inspiring a TV anime that will premiere in 2026.
A teaser video and a visual for the anime have been released.
The dodge ball-themed manga is a Reiwa-set sequel to Koshita’s Honoo no Toukyuuji Dodge Danpei, with the protagonist being the daughter of the previous work’s Danpei. It started serialization in November 2022 in Shogakukan’s Weekly Corocoro Comic and has five volumes as of January 2025.
Honoo no Toukyuuji Dodge Danpei debuted in 1989 and inspired an anime of its own. There are also video games.
