Famitsu Sales: 9/29/25 – 10/5/25

Famitsu has published its estimated physical game software data for Japan for week of September 29, 2025 to October 5, 2025.

Ghost of Yotei for PlayStation 5 was the highest selling new release, opening at 120,196 retail copies sold.

Also new this week, Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles opened at a total of 65,471 retail copies sold, with 41,333 units on Switch and 24,138 units on PlayStation 5. The Switch 2 and PlayStation 4 versions did not chart in the top 10.

Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 for Switch debuted with 48,265 retail copies sold, and Digimon Story: Time Stranger for PlayStation 5 opened at 23,779 retail copies.

On the hardware side, Switch 2 sold 44,439 units, the PlayStation 5 family sold 27,344 units, the Switch family sold 24,109 units, the Xbox Series family sold 837 units, and the PlayStation 4 family sold 19 units.
