The Romelia War Chronicle: Even After Defeating the Demon King, Humanity Still Seems Doomed, So I Formed a Military Force TV anime adaptation has had a 2026 release date announced, along with the release of a teaser visual.
The anime is based on a light novel series written by Ryo Ariyama and illustrated by Kodama. Here’s how the press release describes the premise:
Set in the aftermath of the Demon King’s defeat, Romelia War Chronicle follows Romelia, a noblewoman whose engagement to the prince is suddenly annulled. Determined to rebuild a shattered world, she leads a fledgling army in this postwar tale of courage and renewal.
The light novels are published under Shogakukan’s Gagaga Books label, with the first volume being released in 2020. Volume 6 is set for a November 18, 2025 release in Japan.
Romelia War Chronicle was originally a Shosetsuka ni Naro web novel,.debuting on the platform in 2019. There is a manga by Ryo Kamito.
