A second character visual for the upcoming Scenes from Awajima (Awajima Hyakkei) TV anime has been released. The previewed characters are Kinue Takehara and Ryoko Ueda, who attended the same middle school.
Ai Kayano was announced as the voice of Ryoko.
Scenes from Awajima is based on the omnibus manga by Takako Shimura, which revolves around characters related to the Awashima Girls’ Opera School. The anime will premiere in April 2026.
The Ohta Publishing-published manga began in June 2011 and ended in March 2024. It was first serialized in the now-defunct Pocopoco before moving to Ohta Web Comic. The series received an Award for Excellence in the manga category of the 19th Japan Media Arts Festival.
