Square Enix has released the first in a series of character trailers for Dragon Quest VII Reimagined, introducing the game’s player-named protagonist.
The protagonist’s character description reads, “A boy from Pilchard Bay, a fishing village on Estard Island. Though he leads a peaceful life as a fisherman’s son, he often wonders what lies beyond the sea.”
Dragon Quest VII Reimagined is due out for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, Switch, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store on February 5, 2026 worldwide. Read more about the game here here, and here.
