Smiley & Lively☆Your Girl Happy, a new manga that follows a despondent working woman with the ironic name of Happy, has begun serialization in English on Shueisha’s MANGA Plus. It also debuted on Shonen Jump+ in Japan with the title Nikoniko Genki ☆ Happy-chan.
Here’s the synopsis:
I love it when people call me carefree-—that’s because my Normal Person camouflage is working☆ Running on fumes every day! But I’m still alive! Your girl Happy proudly presents the ultimate happy survival show!
The manga’s creator is Nosuke Inujima, whose previous works include the one-shots Sukima Jikan (about a couple struggling with the time it takes for the guy to put on a condom) and Hokago (about a girl’s unusual afterschool activity). You can check it out here.
