Free-to-play mobile game Inazuma Eleven: Cross will launch for iOS via App Store and Android via Google Play in June in Japan, publisher and developer LEVEL-5, and developer Aiming announced. Pre-registration is available now.

Here is an overview of the game, via LEVEL-5 CEO Akihiro Hino during today’s LEVEL-5 Vision 2026 Craftsmanship event:

Designed as a casual mobile experience, Cross features simple, intuitive controls, so you can jump in and play anytime, anywhere. Dive into a world of Inazuma whenever you have a moment, whether you’re at school, at work, or on the go. This title is being developed in collaboration with Aiming Inc. By combining the strengths of both teams, we’re working to deliver the best possible mobile experience. The recent closed beta ended with a slew of positive feedback, and we’re currently making final adjustments based on player feedback to further refine the game.

The story follows a brand-new protagonist, Yo Shiosawa, in an original new storyline. Like Unmei (Destin) from Victory Road, he acts as a manager, guiding the team from the sidelines. And his personality will be quite different from that of Unmei. He joins Inazuma National to uncover the truth behind his brother’s disappearance. A classic, exciting Inazuma-style story awaits you in Cross! Build your own team and dive into a story full of mystery.

Gameplay is built around light strategy where you set your tactics and watch the action unfold, rather than controlling the players directly. You even earn some progress while away, making it easy to have fun and play at your own pace. Collect your favorite characters and build the ultimate team! You unlock new characters as you progress, and through limited-time events, so just take your time and enjoy building your squad one player at a time.
