Yomawari: The Long Night Collection is now available for PlayStation 5 via PlayStation Store in Japan at a launch discount price of 3,839 yen for PlayStation Plus subscribers. The price will change to 7,678 yen on May 29.
Yomawari: The Long Night Collection first launched for Switch on October 25, 2018 in Japan, followed by October 30, 2018 in the west.
The collection includes both Yomawari: Night Alone, which first launched for PS Vita, followed by PC via Steam; and sequel Yomawari: Midnight Shadows, which first launched for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita, followed by PC via Steam. Both titles made their Switch debut via the collection’s release.
The PlayStation 5 version of Yomawari: The Long Night Collection marks the first time Yomawari: Night Alone is playable on a non-portable PlayStation console.
The collection’s PlayStation 5 follows the surprise release of Yomawari: Midnight Shadows, the third game in the series, for PlayStation 5 on March 12 in Japan. It was previously released for PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC via Steam.
It is currently unclear whether Nippon Ichi Software‘s western subsidiary, NIS America, plans to release the PlayStation 5 versions of Yomawari: The Long Night Collection and Yomawari: Midnight Shadows in the west.
Here is an overview of the collection, via NIS America:
Traverse the haunting world of Yomawari: Night Alone as a young girl searches for her sister, or share in the terror facing schoolgirls Yui and Haru in Yomawari: Midnight Shadows. Uncover the mysteries plaguing a rural Japanese town, hide from the things lurking in the night, and maybe get home alive…
