It has been confirmed that Gundam Seed Freedom Zero will be released as a movie. It was announced at the “Gundam Conference 2026 SPRING” on the official Gundam YouTube channel. A new teaser trailer has also been released.
Gundam Seed Freedom Zero was first announced in November 2024 and serves as a prequel to the Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Freedom movie released in January 2024. The scenes were written by series composers Chiaki Morosawa, and Shigeru Morita, and director Mitsuo Fukuda. It was originally planned to be an OVA.
Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Freedom premiered in Japan on January 26, 2024, and is the sequel to the Mobile Suit Gundam Seed series and its sequel, Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny. In March 2024, the movie had a special U.S. screening in Los Angeles and New York.
