It has been announced that the TV anime series, MARRIAGETOXIN, will host a special panel at this year’s Anime Expo, which will take place from July 2nd to July 5th. The panel titled, “MARRIAGETOXIN Road To The Best Marriage! At Anime Expo” is schedule to take place on Saturday, July 4th, from 4:45PM – 5:35PM at the JW Marriott Diamond Ballroom.
Japanese voice actors Haruki Ishiya, who voices Hikaru Gero, and Shion Wakayama, who voices Mei Kinosaki, are attending as special guests alongside director Motonobu Hori, Bones Film producer Tatuya Saito, and Bandai Namco Filmworks Chief Producer Ryoya Arisawa.
There will also be an autograph session for Ishiya and Wakayama. It is set to take place on Saturday, July 4th, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the J.W. Marriott Gold Ballroom, Table 3. More information about the autograph session can be found at the Anime Expo 2026 website.
The anime series is based on author Joumyaku and illustrator Mizuki Yoda’s original manga series. The series started publishing in 2022 in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ and, as of May 2026, has published 17 manga volumes. The 18th manga volume is set to release in Japan on July 3rd, 2026.
Manga Plus and Viz Media have licensed and are publishing the manga in English, both physically and digitally. Manga Plus described its synopsis as:
A hitman and a marriage swindler set out on the world’s most grueling battle for marriage! Gero is a young man from a clan of hitmen, which has been in existence for hundreds of years. As someone who’s never gone to school and lived his life dealing in the dark side of the business, he considers himself to have “no prospects with women” and marriage as “something not for him.” However, one day, in fear that their lineage would dissolve, his clan warns Gero that if he doesn’t marry and produce an heir, they would have no choice but to…force his little sister into doing “that.” Driven to his wits’ end, Gero asks the target of his work, a marriage swindler, to marry him?! With the swindler as his advisor, the hitman’s pursuit of the perfect marriage begins. Get ready for the world’s most intense, action-packed matchmaking battle!
