The TV anime series Star Detective Precure! (Meitantei Precure!) and Detective Conan announce a special crossover episode. It was announced on the official Detective Conan X/Twitter account alongside a special collaboration visual featuring the main characters, Conan Edogawa and Cure Answer.
Star Detective Precure! will air the special crossover episode in Japan on Sunday, May 31, where Conan Edogawa, Ran Mouri, and Kogoro Mouri will be making their appearance in the series.
Detective Conan will air the episode on Saturday, June 6, where Cure Answer will make her appearance in the series. The TV anime series is currently celebrating its 30th anniversary of broadcasting. The series began airing in Japan in January 1996.
Detective Conan, also known as Case Closed in English, is a mystery manga series written and illustrated by Gosho Aoyama. It began serialization in January 1994 under Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday and is one of the longest-running manga series. As of May 2026, it has released 108 manga volumes, with the 109th volume scheduled to be released in Japan in Fall 2026. Aside from its anime adaptation, the series also inspired spin-offs, video games, audio CDs, a live-action drama, and mystery shows, etc. The anime series has also had special collaborations with other franchises such as Lupin the Third, Yaiba, and Magic Kaito.
Star Detective Precure! is the 23rd installment of Toei’s longest-running magical girl franchise Precure. The series began airing on February 1 and is themed around detectives. It recently announced its movie that will begin screening in Japan on September 18. Crunchyroll describes the series as:
