Kindergarten Wars TV Anime Adds Tetsu Inada to Voice Cast

The official Twitter/X account of the upcoming Kindergarten Wars TV anime series has announced the addition of Tetsu Inada to its voice cast. The anime is set to premiere in Japan in Spring 2027

Inada will voice the character Gordon, who serves as the vice principal and nurse at the school. He has most recently voiced Kaoru Kogori from The Klutzy Class Monitor and the Girl with the Short Skirt

Shinsuke Gomi is directing the anime series, with Junko Yamanaka (Kono Oto Tomare!: Sounds of Life) as the character designer. Sunrise and Felix Film are in charge of the animation production. 

He joins a previously announced voice cast that consists of: 

  • • Atsumi Tanezaki as Rita
  • • Kentaro Kumagai as Doug
  • • Hitomi Owada as Hana
  • • Satoshi Hino as Luke
  • • Mariya Ise as Silvia

An anime adaptation of the manga was first announced in October 2025

You Chiba’s action romantic comedy web manga series debuted on Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump+ app on September 15, 2022. Seventeen tankobon volumes have been released in Japan as of April 2026. The series received an honorable mention at the 3rd LINE Manga Taisho.

Yen Press licensed the Kindergarten Wars manga for English release, describing the main synopsis as:

Rita is Convict No. 999, a former legendary assassin who now works at a kindergarten for the children of the world’s most powerful people. Her job is to protect the kids from the clutches of would-be assassins! But even with her overwhelming strength, Rita has one fatal flaw—she falls head over heels for good-looking men, even if they’re her enemies! Can she find the hottie soulmate of her dreams amid the chaos at the “world’s safest kindergarten”?
