Two new cast members have been announced for the upcoming My Stepmother and Stepsisters Aren’t Wicked TV anime series. The anime is scheduled to begin broadcasting in Japan on July 8, 2026.
The newest cast members for the series include Hiroki Tochi, who recently voiced Wilk from Golden Kamuy Season 5, as Ueki and Eiko Yamada, who voiced Keiko Yozakura from Mission: Yozakura Family, as Yasu Nakamura.
They join a previously announced voice cast that will star:
- • Hina Suzuki as Miya Nakamura
- • Kujira as Teru Konokura
- • Yu Serizawa as Marika Konokura
- • Yuka Nukui as Arisa Konokura
- • Anna Mugiho as Gungnir
Keisuke Inoue (My Next Life as a Villainess) is directing the anime series, with Nanami Hoshino as series composer and Mutsumi Sasaki (YURU CAMP Season 1, 2 and movie) as character designer. NEWON is in charge of the animation production.
The My Stepmother and Stepsisters Aren’t Wicked anime adaptation is based on the historical comedy manga series by Otsuji. It began serialization on Ichijinsha’s Comic POOL on November 19, 2020 and has released nine tankobon volumes in Japan as of February 2026.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga series for English release, describing the main synopsis as:
Miya is the illegitimate child of a certain prominent family. When her mother dies, she’s convinced she knows what awaits her in her new home: a life of servitude and misery at the hands of her wicked stepmother and stepsisters! Yet when she finally meets the women she expects to treat her like dirt, they actually end up being…sweet?!
