The upcoming Eleceed TV anime has received a key visual and a broadcast start delay from 2026 to early 2027. The show was revealed last June.

Eleceed is based on the webtoon by Jeho Son (writer and creator) and ZHENA (artist). WEBTOON describes the source material’s synopsis as such:
Jiwoo is a kind-hearted young man who harnesses the lightning quick reflexes of a cat to secretly make the world a better place – one saved little child or foster pet at a time. Kayden is a secret agent on the run, who finds himself stuck in the body of a…um…decidedly fat old fluffy cat. Together, armed with Jiwoo’s super powers and Kayden’s uber-smarts, they’re out to fight those forces who would let evil rule this world. That is, if they can stand each other long enough to get the job done.
Hiroshi Nishikiori (Honey Lemon Soda, Argonavis from Bang Dream!, A Certain Magical Index) is directing the anime at DandeLion Animation Studio. Other staff include character designer Minami Sakura, scriptwriter and series composer Yosuke Kuroda (My Hero Academia series composer), and assistant director Miyuki Wakai.
The first chapter of the Eleceed webtoon was released on Naver Webtoon in Korean in 2018.
Son and ZHENA are set to appear at Anime Expo 2026 at the Amuse Creative Studio Presents: New Anime Launch panel on July 4. The panel will be held at 404AB from 3:45 PM to 5:05 PM.
