A TV anime adaptation of Neoshoco‘s Phantom Busters manga has been announced. It’ll begin airing in 2027.
The manga started serialization in August 2023 in Shueisha’s Jump Square, after a previous one-shot debut. Viz Media describes the synopsis as such:
In search of a fourth member for the club, Mogari, Eugene, and new recruit Kaoru Kanzaki set their sights on Kotaro Tamon, a classmate who seems to be able to talk to ghosts. Unfortunately, Kotaro’s got some major problems communicating with living humans! Will Kotaro be able to overcome his anxiety and join the Phantom Busters?
Phantom Busters has seven volumes as of February 2026. It ranked fourth in AnimeJapan’s Manga We Want to See Animated 2025 ranking.
