“#Kathy Hochul’s huge challenge as New York’s next gov” Faced with universal demands for him to step down and clearly unable to govern, Gov. Andrew Cuomo did the only sane thing: He tendered his resignation. Good riddance. Now Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul will take over at a key moment for the state. She’s largely unknown and…
“#Andrew Cuomo’s long record of failing New York” Gov. Andrew Cuomo always painted himself as New York’s rock — the one guy who could keep the state together, the man holding off the lunacy of the far left, the leader who got us through the depths of COVID. It was largely bunk. Yes, Cuomo in…
“#‘Worse than Trump’ phase is here and other commentary” Conservative: ‘Worse Than Trump’ Phase Is Here At National Review, Charles C.W. Cooke reflects that MSNBC’s Dean Obeidallah has declared “Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is ‘more dangerous than Trump.’ ” For all the claims that Donald Trump was uniquely evil, such assertions were “inevitable from the…
“#Good riddance to an awful governor — and let’s all wish Kathy Hochul well” It’s over. Faced with universal demands for him to step down and clearly unable to govern, Gov. Andrew Cuomo did the only sane thing: He tendered his resignation. Good riddance, too. New York is far better off with him out of…

“#Hope that Dems’ double-dealing dooms them both” The $1 trillion “infrastructure” plan poised to pass the Senate is a bad bill; the only possible excuse its Republican backers have is the claim that it may help stop a truly terrible one — the $3.5 trillion social-spendapalooza Democrats will introduce next. Contra the hype, the 2,700-page “bad”…

E.g.: All air travelers must mask. “The answer is at the heart of whether public policy in America will shift and…
“#NYC’s ‘no bail’ law rewards criminals and punishes law-abiding citizens” Fresh proof that New York’s “no bail” reforms aren’t about justice at all: A serial bank robber was released without bail on attempted robbery charges — only to go right back out and hit up two more banks. If you liked the article, do not…
“#Portland’s sobering anti-crime lesson for Eric Adams” Eric Adams promises that if elected, he’ll bring back a better version of the NYPD’s anti-crime unit, which focused on getting guns off the streets. Yet if Portland is any example, he might not be able to bring back any such unit. As The Wall Street Journal reported…
