#HD Plus IP und ToGo: Diese Vorteile bietet Sat-Empfang

Erst ToGo, jetzt IP: HD Plus verabschiedet sich von der exklusiven Verfügbarkeit über Satellit. „Das Original“ bietet aber Vorzüge, die den anderen Angeboten abgehen. DIGITAL FERNSEHEN verschafft Überblick:

Die Expansion in andere Marktsegmente verschafft der SES-Tochter und potenziell interessierten Kunden gleichermaßen neue Möglichkeiten. ToGo, also mobiler Empfang, darf als Feature angesehen werden, dass viele Nutzer in Streaming-Zeiten voraussetzen. Dementsprechend ist das ToGo-Angebot als Zubuch-Option konzipiert. Die IP-Variante – und damit verbunden Smart-TVs von Kabel- sowie DVB-T2-Kunden – ist zudem ein Schachzug, der nach HD-Plus-Angaben gerade in Ballungsgebieten mit geringer Anzahl von Satellitenanschlüssen Kunden anlocken soll (DIGITAL FERNSEHEN-Bericht vom Tag).

UHD via HD Plus nur mit Sat-Empfang

Nutzern, die hingegen die Wahl haben, ob sie lieber via Satellit oder IP empfangen wollen, legt man aber ausdrücklich erstere, ursprüngliche Variante ans Herz. Diese Empfehlung untermauert HD Plus mit schlagenden Argumenten. So gibt es das UHD-Angebot nur via Satellit. Bei IPTV als auch mobiler Verbreitung dürfte es vor allem auch eine Frage der Bandbreite sein. HD Plus IP wird schließlich bereits ab 6 Mbit/s verfügbar gemacht (Anm: 16 Mbit/s werden jedoch empfohlen). Somit bleibt die Premium-Bildqualität exklusiv Sat-Kunden vorenthalten.

Viel längerer Gratis-Zeitraum

Das zweite Argument ist der sechsmonatige Gratiszeitraum des Satelliten-Angebots. Über IP (sowie bei der ToGo-Option) gibt es „nur“ einen Monat Zeit zum Ausprobieren. Ansonsten bietet HD Plus IP dieselben Features wie die klassische Variante für Sat-Empfang zum gleichen Jahrespreis. Das neue IP-Angebot wird zunächst für Besitzer von aktuellen Panasonic-Fernsehern ab der JXW854-Serie per automatischem Software-Update voraussichtlich ab Dezember 2021 verfügbar sein.
